A long time ago, Smackdown showed vignettes of a Smackdown hacker. The hacker would reveal peoples secrets, and this would lead to new storylines and segments.
Rumour started circulating that the Smackdown hacker would be revealed on Monday night RAW. During this week’s WWE RAW broadcast, it was revealed that Mustafa Ali was the SmackDown hacker. The angle was dropped a long time ago, and when Ali was moved to RAW it was all but forgotten.
However, with Ali now being revealed at the leader of RETRIBUTION, it makes perfect sense to bring it back. Following RETRIBUTION losing to The Hurt Business, because of course that is what WWE does, Ali cut a promo later in the show and acknowledged that he was the hacker who appeared on SmackDown.
Ali was always the speculation and a lot of fans guesses ended up being right. What will they do with the Hacker angle after the reveal, tune into Raw to find out.
