Notes On Last Night’s Ultimate Deletion Match
The Ultimate Deletion Match between Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy that was featured on last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW was a huge success on social media. The match generated thousands of tweets, and the hashtag #UltimateDELETION was trending worldwide for hours even after RAW went off the air.
Regarding production of the match, Michael “PS” Hayes was listed as the match’s producer. The match was filmed two weeks ago at the Hardy Compound in Cameron, North Carolina. Newly signed Jeremy Borash was also involved in production of the match.
Reby Hardy apparently filmed and edited a lot of the footage that was used for the match herself, as well as composing original music which was used.
The match was not made available as part of the Hulu version of RAW, however WWE did upload the match in several segments to YouTube.
As seen on RAW last night, before the match aired Michael Cole gave a disclaimer apologizing to the fans for what they were about to see. It is believed that WWE did this because they were not sure how the match would be received and what type of feedback they would get.
Matt Hardy responded to Michael Cole’s remarks, which you can see embedded in the tweet below:
YEEAAAAAASSSSS, #WOKENWarrior.. I've learned of the BLASPHEMY that the OBSOLETE MULE @MichaelCole SPEWED from his MUZZLE.. @Vanguard1AAR, put this HERETIC on your SURVEILLANCE schedule. If this continues, he must be DELETED! #UltimateDELETION https://t.co/UmgS0viWNv
