Exclusive – Joey Ryan Uploading Other Promotions Content Without Permission

Three things in life are guaranteed. Death, taxes and Joey Ryan doing something stupid and disrespectful which upsets somebody.

Ryan’s latest incident comes in the form of uploading content to YouTube, without the approval of content owner, and then lying about it afterwards. William Quintana publicly called out Ryan for his explanation after he uploaded a full match from Prestige Wrestling onto YouTube. The screenshot of Ryan’s email can be seen in the tweets below.

In the tweets below you can see that Ryan tried to explain his way out of the situation by claiming he wasn’t online on the day that Quintana was trying to contact him. However, Quintana goes on to explain that he watched Ryan liking YouTube comments on the video in real time that very day.

Joey Ryan emailed me and let me know that him putting the Prestige Wrestling match up without my approval was an oversight.

He also wasn’t deleting comments. YouTube was automatically deleting them.

He also didn’t see the hundreds of tweets. He wasn’t online at all that day.

Except YouTube WASNT deleting comments because I was watching it happen live. Certain comments were deleted on purpose while others were left.

And he WAS online because I watched him LIVE liking tweets.

He wishes I would’ve emailed him to work it out.

That’s the problem though. Too many POS in wrestling have had their problems quietly swept under the rug instead of being put on blast and taken out.

You’re a liar, Joey. You were trying to make any extra money you can.

There’s obviously a BUNCH that I’ll always keep private.

However an accused predator trying to grasp at making whatever money he can by uploading matches that I put together without permission is not something I’ll handle privately. Sorry.

I reached out to Quintana for comment on the situation, and while he didn’t want to name any names, he did say that this isn’t the first time Ryan has committed the act, and has in fact done the same with other promotions content.

Quintana admitted to not speaking privately to Ryan about the situation, but his motivations were clear and just. Ryan was outed during the recent #SpeakingOut movement, so Quintana wanted to make it very clear that he was in no way connected or affiliated with Ryan. His comments can be seen below.

Joey Ryan has been a part of the Wrestling industry for a very long time now and as Quintana stated, he should know better than to pull stunts like this, especially with his public image already at an all time low.
