NXT Talent Rumored To Be Exempt From Twitch Ban
Some of the biggest news over the last couple weeks has been the encorcement of WWE’s third party edict. In quick fashion, main roster stars have left Twitch and Cameo without warning, leaving fans disappointed as they were waiting to watch upcoming streams.
One star has been incredibly vocal about it, and that has been Paige, who has been defiant in her refusal to leave the platform.
Last week, we reported that Jessamyn Duke has already assured her followers that she will not be leaving the platform and in that report it was said Adam Cole remains able to stream on Twitch, and now we know why.
Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful reported on their List & Ya Boy’s podcast that NXT talent are exempt from the policy, meaning that stars who are streaming on Twitch from NXT such as Duke, Cole, and Dakota Kai can continue without punishment. When asked about it, Sapp said the following:
“Main roster. Main roster people have to take it in. NXT is exempt for now. I don’t know why that is.”
The Twitch ban dominated a chunk of last week’s news cycle. We reported on a backstage meeting involving stars and Vince McMahon in a failed attempt to change his mind as well. The ban is still continuing to frustrate talent, and it was said some have reached out to former Presidential candidate Andrew Yang for advice and assistance.
