Yesterday, we reported that WWE had reached out to talent that had featured on NJPW Strong and AEW Dark. They had not been in the process of holding many tryouts thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it seems that tryouts are resuming, and some of those names have been involved.
PWInsider reports that at the last set of tryouts featured recent AEW Dark competitor Elayna Black and independent standout Lacey Ryan.
Black is a standout in Chicago and has wrestled for one of its primary independent promotions Freelance Wrestling, while Ryan is a regular with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.
We do not know at this time if contracts or offers have been handed out, but WWE is definitely interested in snatching up new talent featured on these shows. Ben Carter was featured on AEW Dark for several weeks before being signed by the WWE.
