The road to Survivor Series has been an interesting one to watch as Raw and SmackDown assemble their teams for the traditional Survivor Series matches that are a tradition in the brand vs. brand format.
We reported last week that Raw could potentially round out their team with Drew McIntyre and creative seemed to be heading in that direction, even hinting at it with Sheamus approaching McIntyre on Raw last Monday and suggesting he takes a shot on joining the team.
Now Fightful Select has reported that Raw will be rounding out their team tonight, but it won’t be McIntyre completing the team.
It seems that the creative team will be heading in a direction where McIntyre and Bray Wyatt will face one another to see who will get the first chance to face Randy Orton for his WWE Title.
Fightful Select has reported that instead of McIntyre, Riddle is booked to win a qualifier and win the remaining spot on the Raw Survivor Series team. The report states that his recent match against Sheamus left a good impression on Vince McMahon and this is his reward for it. Obviously, this spoiler is speculation and a rumor until it actually happens and given McMahon’s propensity to change his mind it’s possible plans could change between now and when Raw goes on air. However, for now, The Original Bro is heading toward Survivor Series.
