Cody Rhodes Has Political Aspirations
Cody Rhodes can never be accused of not being ambitious. He had goals for a life after WWE and achieved them. He’s in the process of achieving his goals for AEW, and now it seems that he’s making his goals for life after professional wrestling.
Those plans might just have him heading to Washington D.C.
In an interview with Bleacher Report, Rhodes discussed his desire to get into politics. His main goal is the senate, and he’d like to run for a seat in Georgia. Judging from the interview, it’s possible we could see that happen sooner than you think.
“I’m 35, and I said I only wanted to wrestle for five more years. I have political aspirations. I would love to run for the senate in the great state of Georgia. I want to help with the sphere of influence I have created. I always say if you do the work, it will pay off.”
Rhodes was born in Marietta and he’s been very vocal about causes like Black Lives Matter. When celebrities get into politics, they often have a set base and Rhodes could play a key part in Senate races in Georgia depending on how he runs as well.
