How AEW Handled Matt Jackson’s Injury
Matt Jackson was unable to compete on this week’s AEW Dynamite. That is why The Young Bucks vs Top Flight was not held this week. The match will take place on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
During the falls count anywhere match against The Butcher & The Blade this year, Matt Jackson suffered an MCL after he did a dive on the stage. It seems the injury has not fully healed and is being troublesome for Jackson.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matt Jackson has taken part in nine matches since then. It was said that “nobody even knew he was hurt for most of them.”
The idea was to use the legit injury for storyline purposes even though they did keep the legit injury quiet.
When Jackson’s injury came to be known as a legitimate one, he said it was “a blessing” as it let him to sell the injury during his matches. This is an injury that “dated back months” and he has been undergoing rehab since then and has gotten better.
