Backstage Update On Potential For Evolution 2 Pay Per View
WWE’s all women’s pay per view, Evolution, was a success and the fans have asked for more. Even a second Evolution pay per view was floated around, but it seems likely not to hold your breath for a while.
Ringside News has reported that the chances of a second Evolution show aren’t likely at all. A tenured member of the creative team has told the site the idea “has not been mentioned.” Right now, with the team planning for one event at a time, Evolution is not in the cards at the moment.
Obviously, this will disappoint some people. The idea had a lot of steam prior to the pandemic, and the WWE was able to make it happen after converting what was originally a house show into a pay per view event. They can no longer manage to do such a thing because of the strict schedule they are on in the ThunderDome.
Several big name stars from the original pay per view are currently unavailable. Stars like Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are on hiatus and others may need to be talked into returning for the event like Lita and Nikki Bella. Not to mention one of the main stars of the event, Ronda Rousey, may not even be under contract anymore. Fans may want to see this event, but it seems unlikely to see this anytime soon.
