The script to last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, which was apparently torn up by Vince McMahon and not telling the writers what to do next.
Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio said that at one point of time two ideas were there regarding what could be done on Smackdown. One of the scripts was totally ruined but no one came to know how McMahon changed everything.
“In the original script Liv Morgan was going over, but then on Thursday night/Friday morning Vince tore up the whole script and re-wrote the show with Prichard I guess. So, all of the writers and producers had the old script, so literally nobody knew the show.”
It is unclear which script was destroyed and which script WWE ultimately went with.
