WWE Protected Three Women In Survivor Series Match
Last night’s Women’s Survivor Series match featured a surprise ending of Lana being the lone survivor. Given the talent that was in the ring at the time, how we got from the start to Lana had to be booked cautiously.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the finisher of the match. Though Lana was booked at the end, they had to do what it took to protect some stars during the finish.
It was noted that they protected Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Bianca Belair during the match, leading to the unorthodox eliminations for them. Baszler was DQed, while Jax and Belair went to a double count out. It was just a way of getting out of the situation they had put themselves in.
A lot of fans obviously were upset with the finish, but it added to the story WWE is attempting to tell with Lana after debuting her Chronicle documentary Saturday night and it will more than likely come into play tonight on Raw as Lana’s story continues.
