Kenny Omega is touted as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world and has competed in many promotions around the world. This includes Mexico, where he won the AAA Mega Championship last year.
Now it seems he has a huge match made official for the title. Omega is currently the AAA Mega Champion and has held the title for 403 days and counting. He has the fifth-longest reign in the title’s history. However, he only defended the title thrice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Omega will be defending the title at TripleMania.
“One of the matches scheduled for TripleMania is Kenny Omega defending the AAA Championship against Laredo Kid. Obviously for every reason in the world you wonder about it. I just want to let everyone know that as of this afternoon that match is going to happen, it’s scheduled to happen on December 12th, so he is going to Mexico.”
We wonder whether he will be able to defend the title at the event.
