Chris Jericho Talks ‘Eddie Guerrero Finish’ During AEW Full Gear Match
Storylines in AEW do not follow the normal creative process as other professional wrestling companies do. Chris Jericho also has his say in what goes on in Creative.
Jericho recently spoke on Keeping it 100 where he discussed his storylines in AEW. He said that there is always heat in his angles. Along with that, there are beginnings, middles and definitive ends. While it could take time, proper storytelling does not have to be the same all the time. He used his match against MJF at AEW Full Gear as an example.
“A couple weeks ago when I was on commentary, MJF attacked me. We let them know it wasn’t going to be a finger poke of doom. Then when we had the match, it was very serious until the finish, which you kind of have to do, that sort of Eddie Guerrero finish for where we’re going. My feuds always have heat. They always have a beginning, middle, and end, and it’s always planned out accordingly. Sometimes you might just have to wait, but isn’t that what good storytelling is?”
MJF went on to win the match against Jericho and is now part of The Inner Circle. Jericho continues to be a highlight on AEW Dynamite and it will be interesting to see what they have planned for him next.
