More On Braun Strowman’s Rumored Injury
One of the biggest wrestling news stories this week is the rumor that Braun Strowman might be injured. The Monster Among Men was seemingly written off television after being suspended indefinitely, but it has been reported that a match between Strowman and McIntyre is the only match actually written in for WWE’s TLC pay per view in December.
As was reported earlier, Braun’s name has not come up on any injury reports or internal documents that tell creative he is unavailable for their plans, and any injury to talent would be on reports like that. Notes like that are key for creative, allowing them to know who is free to be used for television that week.
Today, the Wrestling Observer confirmed the report and added how the rumor may have begun. The story is that Strowman may have injured his knee at Survivor Series.
Their report states that talent saw Strowman getting his knee worked on in the gym, but went on to say things like this are typical for the WWE superstars. Talent is always getting checkups and getting things adjusted to keep themselves in physical condition to remain active. However, the injury would also be a good reason to explain his storyline suspension. Angles like this are often used to write off a superstar who needs extended time off.
Right now, it has been said that Strowman’s injury “would have to be pretty significant” for him to not make the pay per view, especially if this is the match he is booked in. However, it seems right now he has been booked off television and we have a triple threat between Keith Lee, AJ Styles, and Riddle to see who will face Drew McIntyre at the pay per view.
