Ever since Paul Heyman was removed from his role as Executive Director of Raw, Bruce Prichard has assumed his dutes there as well as having the same role on SmackDown. This has turned Prichard into a powerful man in the company, also creating some heavy criticism for him.
Several fans have criticized recent WWE booking, and considering Prichard’s position puts him slightly under as Vince McMahon as the man who has final say, fans blame him as often as Vince for poor booking decisions. However, last night had a different atmosphere with Prichard not there.
Triple H was in attendance at Raw while Prichard was absent, leading several people to tell PWInsider that it was “a breath of fresh air” to everyone around. Considering what we have heard about the way Prichard works, this would line up.
Prichard is a busy man and has to keep up with two different shows, so it’s no wonder the job can be stressful. A day off was more than likely needed and people were more than happy to have Triple H filling in for the night.
