Bruce Prichard is now the Executive Director of both Raw and SmackDown. Many reports have come out lately saying that Prichard is now the most powerful person in the company that isn’t a McMahon family member. This, of course, has led to some resentment among some people but some people see that resentment as justified.
Yesterday, a report came out that Prichard has some backstage heat among the talent that they have tried to keep quiet. Now there is more to this story coming out worth talking about.
Ringside News has now reported that Prichard is “terribly unpopular with the talent” and the reason seems to be the manipulative and political games he plays.
They spoke with a tenured member of the creative team that told them “everyone in that position has to be a bulls*it artist,” but apparently the heat comes from how “openly [Prichard] plays games with people’s lives.”
The site has said their source told them Prichard will set up talent and then he “stooges off a story to Vince [McMahon] designed to push an agenda.” His method is by either pushing people he wants to see elevated or by burying others “he wants to bury for no reason.”
This story seems to be spilling out in rapid fashion since yesterday. After a report where many said his absence backstage on Raw Monday and Triple H replacing him for the day was “a breath of fresh air,” things seemed to have avalanched out. The more powerful you get in some places, the more people want to see you fail. Prichard seems to have reached that point in the WWE for him.
