Heath Slater Reveals When He Might Return From Injury

Heath Slater suffered an injury during the company’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view in the Call Your Shot match. Due to the injury the finish of the match was changed.

His friend Rhino won the match and as per the storyline, Heath still managed to get a contract.

On The Ryback Show, Heath discussed his injury. Initially it was misdiagnosed and he was in considerable pain. When he came to know the actual nature of his injury, he was informed that he did not require surgery.

“I’ve never felt pain like that. It felt like every time I moved, somebody took a knife and twisted it. It wasn’t a hernia. The person at the hospital said I had a hernia. Then I went to a hernia specialist in Charlotte and he said it wasn’t a hernia,” Heath said. “He said I ripped my abductor muscle off the bone and I slightly tore my groin. He said I didn’t need surgery. He said once I ripped my abductor muscle, they can only suture it back to the bone.”

Heath was instructed by his doctor to ice the area and “do nothing for two months.” As his injury was in October, it is likely he will be returning in January of next year.
