Rumor Killer On Big E And His WrestleMania 37 Opponent
Big E seems to have big plans in store for him from the WWE, but that doesn’t include a particular match at WrestleMania.
We reported earlier Big E is scheduled to meet Sami Zayn at TLC, but it doesn’t look like plans are going beyond that for him at the current time. A report surfaced today that Big E would be an alternative to The Rock for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37.
As it stands, The Rock isn’t even in discussion for Reigns at WrestleMania but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. There are names being tossed around for Roman at the Show of Shows, but Big E is not one of them.
Ringside News spoke to a tenured member of the creative team that told them “Big E’s name has never, not once, ever been mentioned as a WrestleMania opponent.” They were also told that rumor was “pulled out of thin air.”
While Big E could still have a marquee match at the show, Roman Reigns has not been a name in consideration to face him. Considering the state of the creative team, that’s not to say something couldn’t change a month from now, but it’s wise not to hold your breath in regards to this match happening at WrestleMania.
