Last night’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV saw a huge jump in viewership, as the new AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made an appearance on the broadcast. In addition, this week’s IMPACT saw a “paid advertisement” featuring AEW Owner and President Tony Khan, and Announcer Tony Schiavone.
According to Showbuzz Daily, this week’s IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV brought in 221,000 viewers. This is a significant bump in ratings over last week’s episode, which saw 166,000 viewers. Overall, last night’s IMPACT ranked #96 in the top 150 shows for Tuesday night.
Notably, the episode scored a .08 overall in the 18-49 demographic.
It should also be mentioned the success of IMPACT’s live twitch stream, which also broadcasted the episode. At one point throughout the night there were over 50,000 people watching the episode live on their Twitch channel.
We will have to see how the upswing in viewers carries over into next week’s broadcast.
