Zachary Wentz Of The Rascalz Talks About His Ring Name And What Wrestling Means To Him

The Rascalz recently left Impact Wrestling and 2/3rds of the faction have found themselves in the newest class of the WWE Performance Center.

Zachary Wentz has made the jump to the WWE with Dezmond Xavier, and he’s elated to live out his dream working for the WWE. He recently spoke to LimaOhio.com, where Wentz revealed the inspiration behind his ring name. Wentz, real name Zachary Green, talked about how his similarities in style and look to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz inspired his ring name.

Referring to himself as an “emo, an alternative kid,” Wentz not only talked about that, but his love for pro wrestling and how it connects to his late father.

“It’s extra special because it’s something my father and I used to watch back in the day all the time. When he passed away, my love for sports entertainment grew to the point to where it’s at now, to where I chased this dream. I’ve finally made it here.”

While Wentz hasn’t debuted in NXT officially yet, he and his Rascalz partner Dezmond Xavier have experience that should make them a fun watch when they arrive in NXT. While some of the aspects of their characters may be changed to fit the WWE’s PG universe, they will no doubt still be valuable assets to the brand and one their most entertaining teams to watch.
