AEW’s still in its early stages as a company, but they will be looking to make their first set of contract decisions coming up in the near future.
Fightful Select has reported that “several” AEW contracts are set to expire in the first half of 2021. This will create a situation where the company and the stars to make some big decisions about their next steps. While there were no names listed in the report, several of the company’s top stars like MJF are locked into five-year contracts. We can also rule out The Lucha Bros, who re-signed earlier this year. That said, there could be some interesting names that come up in conversation as to who is still under contract and who could be on an expiring deal.
While there was no note WHEN the deals are expected to expire, the time range is apparently in the next few months. It could be an interesting situation to see who and when those deals come up. With “contract season” starting early in 2021 as it does most years, the shuffle is on.
