AEW Removes Shawn Spears From Active Roster

On this past Wednesday’s Dynamite, Shawn Spears shocked a lot of people after saying he was leaving AEW and he’d be back if he felt like it. While it may have just been an angle, they’re taking extra steps to make it feel legitimate.

AEW has removed Shawn Spears from their official roster on their website and Spears has deactivated his Twitter account. The company has made no official announcement about Spears being released or terminated from his contract, but they have indeed removed him as if he has left the company.

Spears’ talk about his treatment in AEW in the interview on Dynamite is similar to his feelings of how he was treated in the WWE. While Spears arrived with much fanfare and the idea he would be utilized in a much better way than his previous employers, but we have yet to see bigger things from Spears just yet. You can view the interview he did with Tony Schiavone below.
