Brian Hebner Departs From NWA
Back in December, Brian Hebner posted a cryptic tweet talking about having to wait for the clock. AEW star Ricky Starks replied to it with the words “Freedom soon” leading many people wondering what Hebner meant.
While there was lots of speculation that Hebner would be parting ways with the NWA whenever that clock was up, we can now confirm that is the case. Hebner tweeted out a statement today thanking fans and supporters, thanking fans of professional wrestling. While he thanked the fans and said he was moving on from the NWA, he never thanked the company in his statement, now leaving fans to wonder if he had a strained relationship with the company.
Hebner’s departure comes on the heels of losing former Television Champion Zicky Dice and many others over the past several months. Former Women’s Champion Sienna, James Storm, and other behind the scenes workers have parted ways with Billy Corgan’s revived NWA over the past few months, leaving many people now wondering who will be left when NWA is able to hold shows in front of live crowds again.
