UFC continues to push on to deliver entertainment for their millions of fans even under these extremely difficult times for everyone. In a year that promises to see as much change as the last, let’s hope the standard of fighting remains the same as we immediately start the year with some interesting match ups, including a huge return for the sport and more specifically, the lightweight and possibly welterweight divisions.
As not much detail on prelim cards are clear under the current circumstances, here are the main events of this month’s scheduled events:
UFC On ABC: Holloway vs Kattar
High stakes featherweight bout as former champion Max Holloway faces off against on-form Calvin Kattar on Saturday 16th.
UFC Fight Night: Magny vs Chiesa
Neil Magny and Michael Chiesa are scheduled to throw down in a welterweight bout, on Wednesday 20th. This is the fight replacing the cancelled Leon Edwards vs Khamzat Chimaev fight.
UFC 257
Conor McGregor returns to face Dustin Poirier in the main event of the PPV scheduled for Saturday 23rd. This will be a lightweight bout.
Michael Chandler debuts.
