WWE boasts a huge library for their WWE Network. You can find much of the past great shows from ECW, WCW, many earlier promotions like World Class Championship Wrestling or the AWA, and almost every WWE pay per view.
That’s the keyword there, almost.
Recently, it was revealed Wrestlemania 24 had been pulled from the network. The 2008 iteration of The Show of Shows, featuring CM Punk’s Money in the Bank win, a career vs. career match between Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, and another chapter in The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak against Edge had mysteriously vanished from the WWE Network, and now we know why.
One of the matches on this pay per view featured Floyd Mayweather against The Big Show in a No Disqualification match. The music Mayweather used for his entrance that night was the subject of a lawsuit involving Mayweather and Anthony Lawrence Dash. Dash sued Mayweather for using a song that contained beats he produced during his entrance. Mayweather’s music is the reason the show has been pulled down thanks to the music rights issue, and PWInsider has confirmed that was the case.
WWE has already announced they will post the pay per view again, so be prepared for his music to have been dubbed over or edited as they work to make sure they avoid any legal issues.
