Earlier this morning xWx updated their fans on their current situation that they are facing due to lockdown, there has been an increase in the amount of Covid infections around the world during the holiday period. As such most of European countries including Germany have entered yet another lockdown in hopes to slow down the current rate of infection whilst a vaccine is rolled out.
As such wXw Germany have had to postpone events and/or cancel events and planned tapings, taking to twitter wXw released an updated statement;
As part of this update, they also announced that there will be no 16 Carat Gold Tournament, the 16 carat tournament is one of wXw biggest events on their calendar.
wXw would add to the tweet to state why they have taken the measures they have;
“16 Carat needs about six months of preparations to happen. If we run a premium festival like this, it needs to look like 16 Carat, feel like 16 Carat and have a roster like 16 Carat. This is highly unlikely to be possible in Germany in 2021.”

Last year British Wrestler Cara Noir won the 16 Carat tournament defeating Speedball Mike Bailey in the final.
