The WWE is in scramble mode as they work to prepare the Royal Rumble for January 31st. While there are still matches to book, there is still ultimately the two 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches to prep for, and that’s where things get interesting.
We recently reported there are no current plans to use NXT stars in the match, but that could change at anytime. There are lots of options on the table, but NXT is not currently one of them. Ringside News went on to report even further on the situation, saying everything is being discussed. Their source told them “even things that shouldn’t be discussed, like the concept of the Rumble match itself.” It’s obvious that there are a lot of things going on in creative, for better or for worse.
This just continues to add to the mountains of criticism aimed at the creative team, who always seems to be scrambling last minute to throw things together.
