Yesterday, Mustafa Ali made some waves on Twitter with a promo that went viral talking about Retribution choosing to target Xavier Woods.
In the promo, Ali revealed he wanted Kofi to sit at home and suffer as he watched Retribution tear apart his New Day tag team partner while he slowly recovers from an injury, showing he wants revenge in what he perceives as payback for Kofi taking his spot on the road to WrestleMania 35. While it was a promo that may have been shot on his own, the WWE Twitter account eventually RTed it, showing it may have been designed as part of the storyline.
Now Kofi Kingston has responded. Replying via a promo on Twitter himself, Kofi filmed his reaction where he feels Ali has lost his mind. Reminding Ali the two have been on the same roster for almost the entire duration of time since KofiMania had taken place, Kingston also revealed he wasn’t going to take Ali’s threats laying down.
