GCW Star Blake Christian Finishes With Company Following Career Vs. Title Match

GCW made some history yesterday with a 24-hour long continuous wrestling show that was streamed live for the viewing audience. Counting on fans to donate, with all proceeds going to the performers to help them make a few dollars during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, one of the stars of the marathon, has now seemingly wrapped up with Game Changer Wrestling.

Blake Christian, who opened up the show by wrestling Lio Rush, then closed the show in its main event as he competed for the GCW Title against Rickey Shane Page. The match was billed as Page’s GCW Title vs. Christian’s GCW career, and in a shock to most people, Page defeated Christian to retain the title and end the young star’s career with GCW.

So, at least for now, Blake Christian is done with Game Changer Wrestling, though his next move is unknown. Christian has worked for NJPW and Impact Wrestling over the last 12 months, Christian competing in this year’s Super J-Cup tournament at the LA Dojo and Impact’s returning Super X Cup just a couple weeks ago. While there’s been no indications Christian has signed a deal with either group or another promotion, GCW has lost one of their top stars.
