We just reported Jey Uso will possibly miss tonight’s Royal Rumble and he was conspicuously absent from Friday’s Smackdown taping. Apparently, he wasn’t the only talent to not be at Friday’s show.
Fightful Select has reported in addition to Uso missing the show, Robert Roode, Steve Cutler, and Wesley Blake were all absent as well. All four weren’t used, nor were they backstage at Tropicana Field.
It has been reported Blake and Cutler have been absent from tapings the last few weeks, but it wasn’t reported if they were at the venue Friday. Even so, they did not accompany King Corbin to the ring.
Tonight’s show should be interesting, and certainly the WWE will want as many talents available as possible to fill all 30 spots for the Royal Rumble, but we’ll have to see what happens tonight.
