NXT Title Match Being Discussed For WrestleMania
WWE has scheduled WrestleMania 37 to be a two-night event, which means they’re looking to load both nights with as many high quality matches as possible to give each night a special feel. This means WWE might be looking in all corners of their roster for key matches. This year, it seems one of those matches may come from the black and gold brand of NXT.
WrestleVotes, a normally reliable Twitter account that breaks WWE news and rumors, has reported there is discussion about having Finn Balor defend the NXT Title at WrestleMania. While this is hardly a confirmation that this will happen, WWE will be needing all sorts of top matches for the two night show, which could lead to Balor defending his title on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Full disclosure, I don’t know where discussions stand at this point… However, I do know that several people, including some high up personnel, have talked about having Finn Balor & the NXT Championship on the WrestleMania card this year. Especially considering it’s 2 nights.
Balor has been on WrestleMania in the past, and he’s even defeated Bobby Lashley in his last appearance on the show. Now Balor has a chance to walk into the show as a champion and potentially represent NXT in a huge match for the brand. Considering one of his prime rivals right now for the belt is Karrion Kross and the company is high up on him, it could be a great way to introduce him to the world.
