Tony Khan Declares He Was The “Forbidden Door” On IMPACT Wrestling
Tony Khan may remain behind the scenes in AEW, but in Impact Wrestling, he’s slowly transformed himself into a cocky heel that’s using his money to play with two different companies. Now, in his latest “paid advertisement” on Impact Wrestling, he’s crediting himself with being something even bigger than a billionaire.
He’s crediting himself with being the “forbidden door” between New Japan Pro Wrestling and AEW.
Khan used his “paid advertisement” to promote KENTA’s first match in AEW and said Impact helped the AEW promoter realize he was the forbidden door holding things back the whole time. Instead of cutting the promo in front of an AEW backdrop, Khan cut the heel promo from TIAA Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars that his father owns.
Tonight is the first night the “forbidden door” really seems to be opening as KENTA makes his appearance in AEW for an in-ring match. This could be the first sign of something huge, but that huge may also have to wait until the pandemic clears up some. Whatever the case is, it seems the forbidden door is at least ajar if not completely open.
