Kurt Angle Reveals Outrageous Pitch He Made Before Signing With WWE
WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle remains one of the best in-ring performers in WWE history. When he transitioned into pro wrestling, Angle was not aware of how the pro wrestling business functioned.
While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle talked about the meeting he had with Bruce Prichard, which was shortly after Angle met Vince McMahon for the first time.
Angle made an outrageous pitch to Prichard, where he told him that Angle didn’t want to lose a single match in WWE.
“I told him, ‘Just so you know. I am an Olympic gold medalist. I haven’t lost a match in years. I can’t lose’, and you know you could see the surprised look on his face like, ‘What the hell is this kid talking about?’. Bruce just ended the meeting, he said, ‘Okay…we’re good. This meeting is over.’ I didn’t know if he was offended or not, he didn’t seem upset, but I think he just said, ‘Okay! This guy is not getting it, we’re not gonna be able to sign him.’”
