Mike Bennett Reveals Length Of Current ROH Contract
Mike Bennett has been pretty elated since returning to Ring of Honor. The former WWE and Impact star has been happy to talk about the joy of returning to a company he’s called his “home” in several interviews and podcasts since making his way back to the company. However, it seems like the member of the OG Kingdom and his wife Maria might not be there long.
Bennett was a guest on Table Talk, D-Von Dudley’s podcast and revealed that the pair are on short term deals with the company. The two of them are contracted with Ring of Honor through June of this year, but Bennett is hopeful to stick around longer.
“We signed a short team deal with Ring of Honor. We’re signed through the end of June and then we are going to take it from there and see exactly what we want to do. If we wanted to, we probably could go to other places as well, but, we really enjoy what we’re doing in Ring of Honor, so I hope it becomes something a little bit more long term. It all depends on all the stipulations of contracts, etc.”
A short term deal probably gives Bennett and Kanellis a chance to examine the wrestling world this summer, as the world slowly recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world might not be completely back to normal, there’s a chance more opportunities will pop up and could lead to other things for them. However, with ROH being home, it’s also very likely the duo may just decide to stay at the place they feel is home.
