Sean Maluta has had things pretty good so far. The nephew of Afa has made appearances for the WWE, namely for NXT and was in their Cruiserweight Classic and has even made appearances for EVOLVE during their partnership with the WWE. Now Maluta has been featured on AEW Dark several times, leaving people to wonder what his status is with either company.
Fightful Select has reported that despite only being brought in for a handful of appearances, Maluta has had a great experience.
He went on to tell them QT Marshall was responsible for bringing him into the company, having already lived in Florida because of the work WWE was bringing him. Since then, he’s received good feedback from the company and brought back more often since.
While Maluta isn’t officially “All Elite” at the moment, he is still a free agent. With WWE on a “signing spree” as of late and AEW utilizing Maluta, there’s always a chance the WWE will make a move to bring him in full time.
