WWE has been signing stars left and right, but it seems like they’re also taking care of their current roster as well. They’ve now locked down one of their female stars to a long term deal.
Fightful Select has reported that Chelsea Green has signed a new long term contract with the WWE. While financial terms weren’t disclosed, they have reported the deal is a three year contract.
Green had been in limbo for several months until making her SmackDown debut in November but sadly injured herself in that debut match. She has been at the PC and with friends training for an in-ring return which could see her return sooner or later.
Their report also revealed her original WWE contract was set to expire this summer, but she’s sticking around now. While nobody has heard anything concrete on plans for her return, several creative pitches have been made on how to use her once she is medically cleared to return to the ring.
