Bobby Lashley Talks About How Much Time He Has Left In The Business
If you would have guessed Bobby Lashley would be on the verge of a WWE Title shot right now if you were asked a year ago, you would have had one heck of a prediction. However, over the last year, The CEO of the Hurt Business has looked the best he has in the WWE and is facing The Miz on tonight’s Raw for the WWE Title.
However, at 44, even Lashley knows he doesn’t have much time left as an in-ring competitor. Talking to Bleacher Report, Lashley compared this part of his career to a sprint more than a marathon.
“I know with my career that’s it’s not going to be a thing where I have 10, 15, 20 more years. Some of these guys do, so mine is kind of a sprint right now. I don’t mind that. I don’t mind ramping it up a little bit because, like I said, I don’t have 10 to 15 more years. I have a few more years left. There’s a lot of goals I want to accomplish, so I have to go hard. My body’s been able to take the abuse I’ve given it, and I knew I could keep going, so I knew it was my time.”
Lashley has devoted his time to pro wrestling and MMA at times, so he’s put a lot of miles on it. We’ll see if it holds up with him as the top guy if he can take the title from The Miz tonight.
