MSK’s Wes Lee Legitimately Injured, Tag Title Match Postponed
Injuries can change up plans in a heartbeat. And after it being teased by NXT, we can now confirm Wes Lee from MSK has a broken hand. On last week’s NXT, the Grizzled Young Veterans attacked their rivals, smashing Lee’s hand with a chair. Eventually they boasted about their actions, claiming they broke Lee’s hand. However, it is hardly a claim as we now have confirmation.
Dave Meltzer talked about his injury on Wrestling Observer Radio and revealed that not only is the injury legitimate, but it’s postponed MSK’s promised NXT Tag Team Title shot they earned by winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
“Wes Lee did have a broken hand. He suffered that injury against the Grizzled Young Veterans on the TakeOver show on one of his dives. So, that’s why there’s no tag team title match with Lorcan and Burch vs MSK that was originally scheduled for Wednesday’s show, because he’s hurt.”
If that wasn’t enough, Lee posted his x-ray on Instagram to prove he’s legitimately injured. While we don’t know how long Lee will be out of action, we will no doubt see the duo get their promised title shot upon his return to the ring.
