AEW Files Trademark For Captain Insano
Former WWE Superstar “Big Show” Paul Wight recently shocked the wrestling world when he signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Wight appeared on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and teased a huge signing for the company which will be announced at tonight’s Revolution PPV. It was also announced that Wight will serve as a commentator on AEW’s new Dark: Elevation YouTube show.
But that isn’t all AEW has planned, as apparently the company has filed for trademark rights to the name of Paul Wight’s character from the Adam Sandler Movie “The Waterboy” – Captain Insano.
According to a report from Heel by Nature, on March 2, 2021 AEW filed paperwork with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the rights to the name “Captain Insano.”
AEW filed the “Captain Insano” trademark for use in video games and digital media and the trademark was entered in the trademark database on March 6th, 2021.
