Baseball season is around the corner and that means the Tampa Bay Rays will be needing Tropicana Field again. With the WWE not looking like it plans on returning to touring for Raw and SmackDown just yet, it seems the WWE will need a new home for the ThunderDome.
There’s lots of speculation about the WWE’s next location, especially with a clear date in site. The WWE’s last available date for Tropicana Field seems to be April 5th, as the Rays have a home game against the New York Yankees on April 9th.
Ringside News has reported WWE will not be leaving Tampa for the next location of the ThunderDome, a report confirmed by multiple sources. The one problem is that nobody knows what venue in the area they’ll be using. A tenured member of the creative team said to the site, “I don’t know which facility in that area, but we are supposedly continuing to be based out of the Tampa Bay area.”
The feelings is WWE would use the Yuengling Center, also known as the USF Sun Dome, but there is no confirmation. We will report on this as we know more here at Bodyslam.
