One of the big things LA Knight is known for is his promo skills. Back during his days as Eli Drake, fans often said he was one of the best promo guys in the business, and they’ve made use of that so far in NXT.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Knight talked about the promos he’s done so far and how for a company that often makes their talent use scripted promos, Knight has had a lot of freedom to date.
“I don’t know how or why, but I’ve been given a decent amount of trust in that area to the point where they’re kind of letting me freestyle on a lot of it. Any of those walk-ups just before my match or before commercial, where I’m walking up and talking, that’s all off the top. There’s a lot that stuff where I’m free to run and I dig that. I don’t know if everybody is getting that, but I’m digging the fact that I got that going right now.”
Knight has been making the most of his opportunities and now he’s getting the chance to work with one of the most arguably talented rosters in pro wrestling. Thankfully, he’s got the skills to survive any verbal confrontation.
