Numerous Wrestlers Pulled From NJPW Event Due To Covid Protocols
The uncertainty that has lingered during the covid-19 pandemic has been disastrous for many, but it has most certainly taken a toll on the wrestling business. For a little over a year, many companies were left scrambling trying to figure out how to put together a product without fans.
Well, it looks like that dark cloud called covid-19 is still affecting the business, as it was reported that eight wrestlers from the New Japan roster were pulled From Mondays NJPW summer Struggle event at Korkren Hall.
IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi and Bushi will miss shows due to having fevers. Both underwent testing for covid and are still waiting for test results. Other wrestlers that were pulled due to contract tracing were, Tetsuya Naito, Sanada, Evil, Yujiro Takahashi, Gedo, and Dick Togo.
No word on how this will affect any upcoming shows as right now it is a wait-and-see situation.
