We haven’t seen Cody Rhodes on AEW programming since the August 4th, 2021 Homecoming episode of Dynamite from Jacksonville, Florida.
Cody suffered a loss to a debuting Malakai Black, in a rather quick and one-side match. Following the match, Cody gave a speech to the crowd and began to take off his boots in the middle of the ring but was only able to get the first one off before he was hit with a crutch from behind from Malakai Black. This brought up questions as to Cody’s future, as he has not been seen since.
I have learned after speaking with sources that Cody Rhodes is set to make his return to AEW television within the month. Additionally, was also told there are big plans for him upon his return.
