Kenny Omega Claims Number One Spot In PWI 500
Kenny Omega has been AEW Champion now for 281 days and counting, and he shows no signs of losing the belt anytime soon, especially now that The Elite has added more muscle to the group in the form of Adam Cole Bey Bey. His recent title defense at All Out saw the self-proclaimed “Belt Collector” pick up a win against Christin Cage.
Now Kenny Omega can lay claim to the top spot in the wrestling world as he has now been ranked as the number one wrestler by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. PWI ranks the top 500 wrestlers from all over the globe yearly.
This would be the second time in his career that Omega has achieved this accomplishment, as in 2018 shortly after his famous feud with Kazuchika Okada he was also ranked number one by PWI
Omega saw a definite jump in the ranks from last year, as in 2020 he was ranked 13 and the list was topped by the then AEW champ John Moxley.
This is the list of the top 10:
1.Kenny Omega
2.Roman Reigns
3.Bobby Lashley
4.Drew McIntyre
5.Kota Ibushi
6.Jon Moxley
7.Will Ospreay
8.Finn Balor
9.Shingo Takagi
10.Rich Swann
