Jim Cornette Believes Vince McMahon Should Have The 25th Amendment Invoked on Him After AEW’s Grand Slam
With good reason, the WWE and Vince McMahon namely have received harsh criticism from fans as well as many in the wrestling community who have questioned if the ‘Chairman’ has simply lost his touch when it comes to his product. It now looks like a former right-hand man of Vince’s also thinks the same.
While speaking on his podcast Jim Cornette Experience. Jim Cornette stated that he believes WWE should invoke the 25th Amendment of the US Constitution as everyone else in the company wants McMahon to step down after AEW Grand Slam’s success.
“I think everybody else in the company (WWE) is gotta be thinking, is there some way we could invoke the 25th amendment on Vince (McMahon)? Because they have to at this point. Look, they (AEW) got 20,000 people in New York. Even Crockett (Jim Crockett promotions), when Crockett was neck and neck with Vince in the 80s everywhere, we couldn’t get a foothold in New York. Even in WCW during the Attitude Era, what did they do in New York in the New York Metropolitan area (Nassau Coliseum)? And it doesn’t hold 20,000 people. And also, all they needed anybody in the WWE office or anybody in the company to do is to watch the television show they perpetrated on Tuesday night and then watch this one and go holy f***
Just for reference, The Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution says that if the President becomes unable to do his job, the Vice President becomes the President. So do you agree with Cornette and is it time for Vince to step down?
