Bray Wyatt Said To Be Going By New Name Post WWE
On July 31 Bray Wyatt was released by the WWE after over ten years with the company. The release left fans as well as USA execs scratching their heads. Many have been wondering about his next move, as there has been word that many companies are interested in bringing in the former Universal Champion. It now looks like the former Fiend will be going by a new name moving forward.
In the October 18 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed the future of Bray Wyatt. He said that while other companies can’t legally talk to the wrestler during his non-compete period, there is certainly interest in signing him.
Meltzer also revealed the new name that Wyatt intends to use in his post-WWE career. The 34-year-old will now be known simply a Windham. Windham Rotunda is his real-life name.
“Tony Khan did some interviews regarding Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt, who at least as of last word wanted to use the Windham name going forward). He said that he had never talked with him but was interested in talking with him. From a legal standpoint to avoid tampering since his 90-days just ended, he’s not supposed to talk with him even though in wrestling that stuff is always violated.”
There is still no word on where Rotunda will end up, but no matter where he goes he will make an automatic impact on whatever roster he joins.
