Keith Lee Believes His Career Is On Right Track
It’s safe to say it has ee a long year for Keith Lee. The ‘Bearcat’ went from not knowing if he would wrestle again or if he would even be alive to try and get back in the ring. Now he is slowly establishing himself on the current roster and with facing and beating Randy Orton he now feels he is in a good place within his career.
In a recent conversation with Ryan Satin on the Out of Character podcast, Lee gave major praise to a WWE superstar he says helped him the most in his career. Keith said that Randy Orton’s leadership and respect have been an inspiration.
“I don’t know many people that get to walk into the main roster and get to immediately work with Randy Orton, but that was something where I feel like, ‘I’m good for the rest of my career. Randy is someone that has kind of become a mentor, if you will, and someone that leads the way in great fashion. The moment he told me that I’m really good at this thing, I didn’t care what anybody else thought anymore. He’s not a person that will compliment you on your abilities if he doesn’t mean it. To get his approval is something like, ‘I’m good’ because now I know I’m everything I say I am and I’m good with that. However everything else goes, it’s fine.”
Lee also praised Orton’s in-ring ability. He said that Randy is a master storyteller inside the squared circle. The respect radiated with every word Lee spoke during the interview segment.
“I agree with that consensus that he is one of the greatest storytellers, honestly, in a long time. The guy gets it and I relate to him on many levels about that and how this art is done.”
We will have to see if success keeps coming for Lee. Below is the full interview with Ryan Satin.
