The Revival Responds to Criticism Over NXT Return
The Revival began their WWE journey in NXT, and they become two time NXT tag team champions before being called up to the main roster back in April of 2017. But, the team has been cursed with a string of bad luck which stifled the push upon their RAW debut.
Since their debut multiple injuries to both Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson have caused the team to miss a large portion of last year. Upon their return from injury WWE had nothing really for them creatively and have been used mostly to put over other teams in the tag division.
The Revival shocked fans when they made their surprising return to NXT at this weekends set of live events answering The Undisputed Era’s open challenge to the locker room. However, some fans were very critical of The Revival’s return to NXT on social media.
A fan responded to the news of Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson’s surprise return to NXT which brought out a response from the former two time NXT tag champs.
You poor bastards would kill it outside the E….. pick up your skirt, grab your balls, put the binky down and actually believe in yourselves then go make some REAL money @DashWilderWWE @ScottDawsonWWE https://t.co/xxeo4uveu9

This brought out a response from the two time NXT Tag Team Champions, which you can see below:
Guys; I get to live my dream. I travel around the world. I’m able to take care of my family & give them a life I never had. And on top of all that, we got to tear the house down last night! Why would I be upset?!
Relax.

We do believe in ourselves. That’s why we don’t run away just because things don’t always and immediately go our way. It’s called hard work. Try it some time. https://t.co/HLd1dFMr22

There’s no doubt that The Revival’s surprise appearance at the NXT live events this weekend was taken as a demotion by many WWE fans. With WWE having no real direction for the team on the main roster, it would make sense to send the duo back to NXT to help build back their momentum until creative has something more for them.
