Brody King makes AEW Debut on Dynamite
Long rumored, Brody King has finally arrived in All Elite Wrestling.
Appearing from a blackout at the side of his PWG tag team partner, Malakai Black, King laid waste to Penta El Zero M and the Varsity Blondes.
For several weeks, King–a former ROH Tag Team Champion, ROH Six Man Champion, and NWA World Tag Team Champion–has been teased as a pending arrival both on social media and in vignettes by Black, with whom he currently co-holds the PWG World Tag Team Championship.
Just under a month ago, Bodyslam’s Cassidy Haynes broke the exclusive news that King was AEW-bound following his release from his Ring of Honor contract.
On commentary, Excalibur made reference to King and Black’s tag name, The Kings of the Black Throne, but did not go any further regarding specifics or their history as a team. King and Black won the PWG World Tag Team Championships in September at the company’s Threemendous VI event, defeating the team of Black Taurus and Demonic Flamita to claim the vacant titles.
King made his pro debut in 2015 and joined Ring of Honor in 2018 as part of Marty Scurll’s Villain Enterprises, alongside PCO. The trio captured the ROH Six Man Championships, and King and PCO also found tag gold in Ring of Honor and the NWA.
King also main evented Final Battle in 2020 for ROH, unsuccessfully challenging RUSH for the ROH World Championship. His most recent work in the company came as part of the Violence Unlimited faction, alongside Tony Deppen, Chris Dickenson, and Homicide, as well as making appearances for NJPW Strong on the west coast.
