If you were to believe the UFC hype machine, Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane have a long standing rivalry due to sparring sessions, team/coach stealing and much more. However, UFC Heavyweight Champion Ngannou claimed in an interview on UFC on BT Sport with Michael Bisping that they ‘don’t have history’ when “The Count” stated otherwise.
Ngannou wento on to say that they trained between 6-8 times together and that “everything has been manipulated” by the UFC. The combat sports juggernaut has been heavily promoting this bout as former teammates with a sparring session between the two causing a rift and the break down of a relationship.
